Post Modernism Stamps

The practice of traditional mail has certainly changed with the advent of the digital age. Fewer people are sending messages by post these days. it is more immediate to send everything digitally, and it is much cheaper as well. It is one of the main reason the US Postal Service has been operating at a loss for many years. The use of stamps has been changed as well. It has been transformed into just a digital code consisting of numeric data and value. Gone are the days where there are real interest in the use and collecting stamps. Previously, people would look forward to the printing and issuing new stamps or stamp series that might depict a period, a historic or political figure, sports, scientific discovery, seasons, special events, holidays and love, etc. These days the interest has waned, but the design of stamps around the world is not lost.

In this project the goal was to create stamps and a cancellation seal that highlights the artists that are celebrated in the Post Modernism Era.

Artists that I choose are Neville Brody, Paula Scher and Michael Vanderbyl.
